On September 24, 2022, HEINEKEN Vietnam Brewery – Vung Tau Limited Company, one of the five most valuable brands investing in the industrial zones of IDICO Corporation – JSC, held an Opening Ceremony for the Vung Tau brewery – HEINEKEN Vietnam at My Xuan A Industrial Zone of IDICO Corporation – JSC.
The Vung Tau brewery covers an area of 40 hectares at My Xuan A Industrial Zone located in Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. In 2016, HEINEKEN Vietnam acquired the brewery of Carlsberg at My Xuan A Industrial Zone with an area of 8.2 hectares and an annual capacity of 30 million liters and the brewery has since seen multiple capacity expansions and investment capital increases.
In 2020, the Vung Tau brewery’s investment capital was increased by 1,650 billion VND to 9,151 billion VND (over 381 million USD), growing 36 times bigger in annual capacity to 1.1 billion liters.

The Vung Tau brewery is Southeast Asia’s largest, and it is operated entirely by recyclable energy (thermal and electric power) with advanced technologies and a large extent of automation, as well as being water efficient to meet the world-class benchmark on the water-saving requirements for sustainable development. The brewery employs more than 200 people locally and each year pays over 6,200 billion VND through taxes to Ba Ria – Vung Tau province (2020).
Mr. Vu Duc Dam - Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, spoke at the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of the Government of Vietnam, expressing his gratitude to the Netherlands and Dutch enterprises and people for such a valuable cooperation opportunity. Vietnam and the Netherlands have recently formed a strategic partnership on climate change adaptation projects.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee recognized HEINEKEN’s achievements, efforts and significant socioeconomic contributions to Ba Ria - Vu Tau province over the last six years on behalf of the provincial leaders. The brewery not only produces high-quality products, provides excellent services but also significantly contributes to Vietnam’s economic development and social security, particularly Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has committed to providing substantial assistance and creating favorable conditions for the operation and development of the Vung Tau brewery.
IDICO has managed and operated 10 industrial zones in Vietnam, in which:
- 3 industrial zones in North Vietnam including Kim Hoa Industrial Zone in Vinh Phuc province with an area of 50 hectares (fully occupied); Que Vo 2 Industrial Zone in Bac Ninh province (269ha) and Cau Nghin Industrial Zone in Thai Binh province (184ha) which are available for land leasing;
- 7 industrial zones in South Vietnam including Phu My 2 Industrial Zone and Phu My 2 Expansion Industrial Zone in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province (1,020ha in total), and Huu Thanh Industrial Zone in Long An province (524ha) which are available for land leasing; My Xuan A Industrial Zone (302ha) and My Xuan B1 Industrial Zone (226ha) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, and Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Zone (448ha) and Nhon Trach 5 Industrial Zone (309ha) in Dong Nai province which are fully occupied.
