On June 9, 2023, a tree planting event was held at My Xuan A industrial park in Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, in response to World Environment Day, in the framework of Action Month for the Environment 2023, and and program to plant 1 billion green trees - For a Green Vietnam, launched by IDICO Industrial Park Service Company Limited (IDICO-ISC) in collaboration with the Company's Union.
World Environment Day is the largest annual environmental event, held on June 5 each year and designated as the opening of Action Month for the Environment. The United Nations has chosen the theme "Solutions to plastic pollution" for 2023 to strongly convey the message and build a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature; rational use of natural resources, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation; control and solve plastic waste pollution; towards a greener, cleaner lifestyle; increase recycling and reuse; promote a green economy, a circular economy, and sustainable development.
"Program to plant 1 billion trees - For a green Vietnam" is the Green Tree Planting Project for the period 2021 - 2025, approved by the Prime Minister, in order to promote the tradition of tree planting initiated by Uncle Ho, bringing the planting of trees to becoming a practical and effective emulation movement to increase the rate of tree planting in regions, factories, industrial parks, etc.
The tree planting ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khang, Chairman of the Company; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of the Company; Mr. Le Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Deputy Director of the Company; and the Executive Committee of the Union, a alongwith the participation of more than 50 employees working in specialized departments, in Nhon Trach 1, Nhon Trach 5, My Xuan A Phu My II, Phu My II industrial parks.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa - Company director, hailed the passionate participation of the Company's employees while also recognizing the practical value of the operation. The company's director expressed his hope that in the future, all employees in the company will work together with the Union to create more practical activities that are connected with environmental protection so that each employee has the opportunity to participate. The group combines forces to minimize emissions, contribute to the creation of a better living environment, protect community health, and transform IDICO's industrial parks into model industrial parks that are green, clean, and beautiful.
Next, tree planting activities took place with the enthusiastic and active participation of the Board of Directors and employees of the Company.
