Today, FUJIYA - a famous biscuit brand from Japan officially started construction of the first confectionery factory in Vietnam, located in IDICO Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Long An. In recent years, IDICO has attracted many large investors from Japan and internationally to choose Huu Thanh Industrial Park as the location for their production facilities, such as Suntory Pepsico, Messer, LA TERRE FRANCE Pharmaceuticals... This has partly affirmed the attractiveness of this area to large domestic and foreign investors.
The FUJIYA project promises to bring high-quality confectionery products to Vietnamese consumers. The factory is being built on an area of 3 hectares, with a total investment of 39 million USD, focusing on the production of main product lines such as baked biscuits and cookies, catering not only to domestic demand but also aiming for export to international markets. The FUJIYA factory is expected to be completed, equipment installed, and officially operational in the first quarter of 2026.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Nobuyuki Kawamura – Representative Director and Chairman of Fujiya Co., Ltd. – shared: "More than 10 years ago, we started researching and learning about the Vietnamese market, at that time Vietnam's population reached 89 million. By 2021, when Vietnam's population has exceeded 100 million, we decided to go back and invest in this market. With a young population and impressive GDP growth rate, Vietnam stands out from the Japanese market, where the population is aging and consumption is declining. Fujiya's factory in Vietnam will focus on domestic consumer demand and exporting to the Asia market.

He also emphasized that Fujiya has invested a large amount of capital for the project in Vietnam, and is committed to applying the most modern technologies to this new factory. The investment does not only stop at the financial scale but also comes with outstanding factory quality, advanced technologies, and sustainable production processes; to ensure that the factory will meet high standards and provide the best production quality, meeting the needs of the domestic and international markets. "We already have a factory in China, but chose Vietnam as a new destination because it is a great launching pad to expand production and business in the region," Kawamura added. At the same time, Fujiya's strategic partner, Marubeni, will also accompany in exploring the Vietnamese market, helping to expand production and outstanding investment.

IDICO is proud to have gained the trust of FUJIYA in choosing IDICO Huu Thanh IP as the strategic location for establishing its first production facility in the Southeast Asia region. We warmly congratulate FUJIYA and wish the project a successful implementation, bringing high-quality confectionery products to Vietnamese consumers.
